Complete Toddler Preschool App Reviews

I really loved this in the beginning. But now they took away the wonderful womans voice and put in a man who is ok but he recorded the words separately so it sounds like an 80s robot talking. And after buying find out you have to BUY more features if you want it to do everything. Not impressed.

Previously purchased the ABC app, and LOVED it! Was looking forward to all that this app claimed to offer. However, there are major technical problems that prevent this app from being anything educational/ useful. Tried deleting and reinstalling app, with no change for the better. Hope to see an update soon that will fix all technical problems, so my son can use this app as much as he uses the ABC app.

My daughter loves this app, but the latest version barely functions. The touch areas are all off, the exit function no longer works, and its no longer fun for her - its frustrating.

I think that this company has really hit the mark here in terms of a simple design and something that is appropriate to simply hand to your toddler. (You need to do a long press to go into the settings, for example. The buttons are big and easy to touch. The letters are big and easy to read; there is a dearth of distracting images and patterns that I have seen in some other programs.) I was super impressed with the variety of categories. It seems that this app will grow with my child where as my daughter has quickly gotten tired of other apps which she has played over and over and learned all the answers. One thing I would like to see and one small complaint: the voice that asks the questions is much quieter than the cheering kids voices and clapping that follows a loud answer. I the wee hours of the morning or at a restaurant/public place this makes it impossible to find a balance between a level where the instructions are still audible but the other sounds are not too loud to make it inappropriate to play. It would be awesome if you could either control the volume of these separately, if they were normalized, or if there were the option to have a quiet mode where the reward was visual or a simple "Good job!" at the same volume as the instructions. Another feature request which would build on what already is a great idea by the creators of this app: currently you can choose to be quizzed on numbers in a range of 1-10 or 1-99. To me 1-20 would be ideal since this is a more typical range for early number learning. (The teens are unique whereas everything from 20-99 follows a predictable pattern). Perhaps a 1-10, 1-20, and a 1-99 mode? All in all I have searched for and tried dozens of apps and feel this one is a must-have. You absolutely cannot beat the price. WELL DONE!

Bought this since the latest update broke the touch areas on the Shapes app. I am dismayed that this app has the very same bug making it useless. I use this on a second generation ipod touch.

I am an teacher and It would be helpful if specific categorizes for activities could be chosen. There are some great categories listed but it would be great to be able to chose a category for a child to work on.

While my 2 yr old enjoys this app tremendously its a ripoff... I paid $2.99 for 30 categories not 4... False advertising isnt cool!!I want a refund!!!

It comes with 4 categories, then you go in the menu option and select to download the other 30 for free! Also categories can be turned in and off through the menu on the bottom.

my kids love this app. Unfortunately with this last update it has a lot of bugs. Their favorite part of the app was the toybox and it doesnt even work now. Theyre more frustrated than I am :( Normally I would give it 5 stars

Ive reported the problem with this app twice and have received no response. Does anyone really answer? The app doesnt work at all like advertised. Must have bugs or something. Very disappointed and want a refund...

My son loves the software but he also loves periodically pressing the home button. Software since iOS 4 has supported resuming after being minimized. This app though? Nope. Seriously, apparently the basic work to save state is too much to ask for a $3 software that purports to have sold half a million copies. Hire an intern or something what a odd year+ long oversight.

We had the free shapes game and my kids (4 & 2) loved it, so I purchased this one to get all the games in one app. The 4 categories work in all 3 modes, but when I went into the settings to download the other categories, it doesnt work. They change from light grey to dark grey, but cannot be turned on. Do not buy this app until they fix this. I have this app on 3 iPod touches, 1st gen, 2nd gen, and 4th gen. The problem exists on all 3.

I had the shapes app free got this one because my daughter loved the shapes app but just paid 2.99 for the same thing the shapes app comes with misleading app very disappointed.

Please correct me if Im missing something here, but why would ads be incorporated into an app designed specifically for young children? Its not like they can make intelligible decisions about which apps they need, want, etc. At the very least there should be an option to disable the ads; especially since this app costs $2.99. Did I mention that these ads can be disruptive to the game play? My son keeps inadvertently touching the ads; which exits the game to an app download screen - Ridiculous!

This is a really useful app! I work with special needs preschoolers. I love how I can select one category or several to work on sorting, describing, or just labeling. The Spanish option is a great bonus.. Tip: I was having trouble accessing the menu...you have to touch and hold for SEVERAL seconds to open the menu!

Dont purchase this app its not worth it. Cheesy and a lot better out there for only. .99

My daughter loves this game! Great quizzes to held your childs mental development!! Wish it had more games but would still recommend this app!!

It is great my 3 yr old loves it! It is hard to turn the page or card for him and he sometimes doesnt listen plus it i turn on the all direction before touchable he tries to press the corect one while they are still talking and then when he can touch he touches the wrong one but thats just him! Love the app
